The 6/7 Revolution - What was it, exactly?

Server Co-Owner Techonfied aka James Fletcher announced that his fellow Co-Owner, xEndeavour aka End, would be stepping back from the day to day operations of the server for a period of 12 months, or one whole year.

But how exactly did we get to this point?

June 6th, 2026, 13:13
Frmr. President juniperfig posted an article on her gnomestack, Juniper's Blog [1]. Here, she championed her policy for the upcoming June Presidential Elections: "Anyone but End." She called for a mass protest in the form of "everyone who has the playtime should declare and make the candidate list impossibly long so the ballot is a nightmare to sort through in protest of End never having been deported, not for anything he has done to all of us and all of you." [1]. She cited how he abused his owner permission to illegally campaign in #server-announcements no less - by posting an announcement calling out toxicity towards new players, the same day declarations opened. She noted that: "Whether his intention was to get some extra brownie points with the new players or not, this is completely unacceptable timing.", further explaining that any senior member of the staff team could have made the announcement instead, such as Senior Administrator Eenza Moths-Pantalone or Manager Angryhamdog. Juniper hinted that this was a small part of a larger problem within the server leadership - the inability for anyone to tell him he's wrong and escape unharmed.

June 6th, 2026, 19:00

Frmr. Representative Julia Majesta files a staff ticket with a simple request - to have her deadname removed from the forums. This was not an unusual request - and has been granted in the past. However, End unilaterally denied Julia's request, citing that "There are over 100 instances of this name of the forums" and "Noting this, I dont approve of removing the name" [2]. Julia then requested another member of staff to review the request, to which Senior Administrator Eenza Pantalone-Moths, aka Eenza, posted a response, which was promtply deleted by End, who responded with "No, thats not how this works". He closed the ticket with "While you have 100s of pieces of content tied to that name we won't remove it. Just the same, we don't do it for anyone else requesting names be removed. We have a genuine reason to keep the name for this reason and therefore it won't be removed."

This was an overreach on so many levels by End. Not only did he go and unilaterally override a Senior Administrator by simply deleting their message, he refused to listen to Julia and rejected her claim on the basis of "we don't do this" when it in fact has been done in the past.

Julia, knowing that End was being unreasonable, believed End was targeting her for being trans. She resigned as a Representative at 21:42 with a short message in #briefing [3]. She would shortly be followed by Frmr. Redmont Bar Association Councillor TheSnowGuardian, with a much more fiery resignation notice in #briefing. [4]

June 7th, 13:12

Frmr. Redmont Bar Association Councillor TheSnowGuardian is banned unilaterally by End. [5] No reason was provided. This was right after he deleted a large amount of messages speaking out against him. However, this time, his actions weren't unnoticed. Manager Angryhamdog noticed and "reversed the ban and called him out in staff chat." [6]. End initially responded by posting a weak apology in #server-announcements, which Angryhamdog "clowned on him a bit" [6] [7] in response to. Then, Frmr. Senior Adminstrator Scassany Countour aka Scassany, would post her resignation from the staff team, citing personal reasons as the main factor, but noting that the recent controversies regarding End certaintly didn't help. [8].

However, this remorse from End didn't last very long. At 13:46, Cassie45806 would also be banned [9]after she posted a suggestion in #suggestion calling for End to step down as Co-Owner. He would delete this post and ban Cassie. At 14:21, He would delete his empty apology, Scassany's resignation and further ban Julia, PricelessAgrari & TheSnowGuardian, again. [10] [11]. He would simultaneously fire Manager Angryhamdog and Manager Amy Mercury, aka mesemi, without cause. He tried to play it off as them resigning. [12]

June 7th, ~15:00

End would then make his fatal play - he seized control of the discord, breaching the regulations made with his Co-Owner Tech, and began to try and consolidate his position from a legal standpoint to justify his actions. Tech, would likewise solidify his control over Forums, Minecraft Server & Console, and payments, before also proceeding to consolidate his position from a legal standpoint.

At 15:24, Tech and End would begin negotiations for the discord server. [13]

At 15:43, Tech would regain permissions to the discord server [14]

With that, End's temporary coup seemed to have been brought to a halt.

June 7th, 21:16

Tech would release an announcement, providing a brief summary of the recent events and the agreement he had worked out with End to prevent him from repeating what he did for the time being. [15] Some key points were: Both owners were no longer exempt from staff policy. This was a big win - previously, End has refused to be held accountable under staff policy whereas Tech was willing to - now, he was forced to be held accountable under this policy no matter what. Tech cited that this may not have been the outcome many were hoping for - as cries for End's removal as Co-Owner steadily grew louder - stating that "It is not realistic nor is it my decision to remove my co owner. We run a 50-50 venture, this would have dragged out for months and I would have lost assets like our domain, discord server, etc - there would not have been a server left" [15]. Tech made the only choice he could at the moment to hold End accountable without tearing apart the community that has grown and developed over the last 6 and a half years.

However, this would not be sufficient for the community. They wanted End gone - for good. A slew of strikes and administrative leaves would follow, starting from 21:16, when Representative Plura Glasshouse boldly announced:
"Following the JuliaMC_ situation that the owner end has actively made transphobia and the other protest that got censured, I’m moving all my representatives to do an STRIKE
In this strike, while some people want to resign, I won’t be resigning, but my objective is not to pass efective laws like my quality is, instead to propose Amir Uber Eats type shit
And I ask my representative to vote AYE and propose all the dumb type of bills as a form of protest
And be the worst congress"

And quickly followed it up with this at 21:18: "This message from tech wasn’t enough, we are still in strike" [17]

He would be joined by RBI Director Dearev at 21:28 [18], Secretary Lily Smami on behalf of the entire Department of Education (DOE) at 01:15 on June 8th [19], Frmr. Redmont Bar Association Councillor Culls, who would resign in protest instead of just strike at 02:13 [20], Redmont Bar Association Councillor Anthony_org at 02:56 [21], The entire governing council of Aventura at 04:00 [22], who would follow it up with a declaration of independence from Redmont at 04:08 [23], Secretary Angryhamdog on behalf of the entire Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at 05:42 [24], and lastly the remainder of the Redmont Bar Association at 08:57 [25]

While these government entities declared their intention to strike over the course of the night, Frmr. President Juniperfig published yet another blogpost on her gnomestack, calling for a general strike at 03:46 [26]. She did this after she attempted to contact End, as a member of Senior Staff and a concerned individual, in hopes of convincing him to relent his obstinate denial of fault [27]. He instead refused to accept any fault, and chided Juniper with the following:
"What you wrote was incredibly harmful and almost cost the network.
I have been absolutely hammered with haters for the past two weeks all for staff actions dating back years. I've invested in being better and made great progress recently. You peddled people against me and continued to contribute to this cult of personality I have that people hate me just because someone else told them they should.
Anything and everything I do is criticised and catastrophised."

Juniper would then follow this blogpost with another at 08:27, critiquing Tech's announcement regarding the state of the server [15] [28]. She called for End to resign given that he couldn't apologize for his transgressions, and encouraged the community to assist her in compiling a list of every rule End breached as an owner and escaped punishment for. The strike continued in earnest as the list of transgressions piled up, with seemingly no answer from Tech.

June 8th, 2026, 11:36

Tech would break the silence posting an announcement titled 'STATE OF OWNERSHIP' [29]. In this announcement, he said words that would shatter the minds of the watchful community: "It is with a deep sorrow that I announce I have taken action to remove xEndeavour from the Staff Team."

The community erupted in joyous uproar as many speculated what this would mean for the server going forward. Those who were wrongfully banned by End were now closer to returning. His frequent power trips and consistent rule breaking would be brought to a halt, permanently.

The mood would be slightly dampened at 14:20 when Cashtron527 noticed that Tech had edited the annoucnement [30]. The announcement now said: "It is with a deep sorrow that I announce I have taken action to restrict xEndeavour's permissions pending a new ownership agreement." [31]. He would however, quickly explain why he edited the announcement. "It's contradictory for me to say i removed him and then for him to stay on as a silent partner" [32]. When asked further, he shared that his current plan was to fully eliminate End's involvement in staff decisions without removing him from Staff.

The good mood would quickly return, and brings us full circle.

June 8th, 2026, 21:11
Tech would post his final announcement on the End mattter - titled "FUTURE OF SERVER OWNERSHIP" [33]. In it, he announced that End would be abstaining from the day-to-day operations of the Network effective immediately, for a period of 12 months till June 8th, 2027. He would only involve himself at strategic decisions at the leadership level - basically massive serverwide policy changes.

He would also announce that the 4 players that had been unilaterally banned by End - Cassie 45806, Julia Majesta, PricelessAgrari and TheSnowGuardian, would be automatically reviewed by staff, while excluding End and Tech from the proceedings. [33]

He would then explain why End wasn't being removed as owner:

"The server is a de facto partnership, which legally means that we either continue on together or we finish the network up together. We are both committed to the future of the network and no one is resigning. It's in everyone's best interest that we work together for the future of the network.

Without this agreement today, the Network would have shut down." [33]

Basically, there was no world where Tech could remove End as an owner without the entire Minecraft Cities Network going down with him. As such, Tech and the rest of senior staff made the best decision they could at the time to hold End accountable without bringing an end to the 6 and a half years of hard work this community has put into the network.

Tech would also apologise to End for locking him out of the server during the events of the past 48 hours, and denouncing any statements that said End engaged in a hostile takeover of the server, before requesting for everyone to "start to rebuild and look to a future forward" [33].

End would also apologise [34], expressing remorse for any anguish that he may have cause anyone across the community. He apologised for not always communicating his decisions clearly, and for failing to build a place where Staff could bring problems to him and trust they'd be dealt with properly.

And that's where we stand now. Frankly, in my opinion, none of this could have been achieved without these people:

• Tech, for keeping a cool head and keeping our network alive while making sure End is held accountable,
• Julia, for bravely speaking up against End's mistreatment of her, knowing she might be punished by him,
• Juniper, for bravely speaking up against End's many transgressions over the years and continuing to rally support and provide information for those joining in, as well as calling for the strike,
• Cassie, Snow and PricelessAgrari for speaking out andtaking the bullets for everyone else during the initial stages,
• Angryhamdog and Mesemi, for continuing to fight for what is right, even after having been unceremoniously removed from the staff team for a short while,

And most importantly, every single one of you. Not one of you just sat idly and let End get away with anything this time. You all spoke up, together, and made sure that he was finally held accountable.
