Future of the Republic of Willow
Town, District, Republic, Town?
Yesterday, with the help of the Aventura militia: I was able to seize Willow, and declare it's independence.
After that moment, I was approached by a group who had been fighting for an independent Willow for a while now, and they requested that we join together. I agreed, and together we formed the Republic of Willow.
Soon, I rallied all citizens of Willow together in an army to conquer Canning National Park, and expand Willow's borders. After our victory against the disorganized Redmontian government, I then worked on drafting a constitution.
As of now, our constitution is still being voted on, and our largest conquest has yet to happen. But with things regarding the recent strike and chaos in Redmont coming to a halt, what will become of the Republic of Willow?
I do not expect Willow to remain independent, that's foolish. I do, however, hope that our successful independence, and the popular support behind it, results in Willow's reintegration as a third town.
Currently, there is a petition going around to have an event hosted by the DPA and staff, where Willow will fight a war for it's independence, and if Willow wins, it will become a town. I place my full support behind this petition, and I hope everyone who reads this ayes it.
The war event would just be generally really fun, I loved the Alexandria war event, but more than anything I just want Willow to have a chance as a town. Ever since I helped found The Evergreens, I've always wanted Willow to have a shot at townhood, and I feel like now, with all these changes, and the increased player count, Willow might have a solid chance.
So to summarize: As the current Co-President of the Republic of Willow, I support reintegration into Redmont so long as we are allowed to become a town. If we cannot become a town immediately, then at the very least let there be an event to decide whether or not this happens.
Sorry for the poor writing, these are just my general opinions on Willow right now and what I think should happen to the republic.
