In DemocracyCraft, the Netherite ingot is a lucrative product. This ingot can make armor such as Helmets, Leggings, Boots, and Chestplates and it can also make tools like swords or pickaxes. But Netherite is a scarce ore. Due to its popularity and demand. It’s one of the more rare Hores compared to diamonds and iron found in the wilderness. In this article we are going to go into the rise of the cost of Netherite and how it may affect the Democracy Craft economy.
According to the May 2026 Consumer Price Index (The most recent Democracy Craft CPI) it shows that Netherite has an average price of $176.60 per ingot while a stack will set you back around 11,302.65 for a new player, this price is insanely high.
I interviewed random people at spawn and user ‘WaddletonTheThird’ had many comments on his stance of the price of Netherite. WaddletonTheThird is a Miner on Democracy Craft. He first said “I think [they] are too high”. He also pointed out “I get people risk their lives to get it but people are poor in this society”. He believes that the solution is a cap to how high people can price their Netherite ingots and high prices are not helping the economy. Another user ‘FriedBusch’ said “I don’t know much on the price of Netherite but I do know that it’s way too expensive on this server”.
One reason this may be true is because of popular YouTuber ‘YeahJaron’ where he posted a video recently on May, 26, 2026 about the server. This drove flocks of new people to the server even before he officially published the video. Another reason that this is happening is because the server has a higher demand of Netherite than ever but a decreasing supply of space in the nether and Netherite to mine.
Overall, since April, the price of Netherite is growing and it doesn’t seem to slow down. With more demand and more players joining the price will only increase. Netherite is one of the backbones of the Democracy Craft economy and that doesn’t seem to be ending soon.
