Why a incident Tech already resolved is being used to launch a coup and riot against the server. WPR weaponizing a sensitve issue to manipulate the presidental eelction.
On June 7, 2026, server co-owner Technofied released a public statement addressing the recent administrative crisis. In that statement, Tech outlined a joint decision making agreement designed to hold the server ownership accountable to staff policy.
To any rational player, this was a victory. Unilateral administrative action was prevented, the databases were secured, and the server's stability was preserved.
Yet, the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) and their allies are still calling for a "General Strike." They are telling new players to stop playing. They are trying to force the server's economy, government, and court systems to a grinding halt.
Why?
Because the WPR never cared about a resolution. They wanted a weapon. And they found one.
1. The Weaponization of a Resolved Issue
Let us be entirely clear: Julia’s request to have her deadname removed from the forums was 100% justified.
As Tech admitted in his statement, the server had already removed previous usernames for other players in the past. End’s stubborn refusal to do so was clearly petty and unnecessary.
Tech took over the ticket and redacted the username, and the issue was resolved. But the WPR did not stop. They saw an opportunity.
The anti-End faction and the WPR have been searching for a reason to oust End as owner. End’s petty refusal was the indefensible mistake they had been waiting for. Instead of allowing Tech to resolve the issue quietly (which he already did) the WPR immediately weaponized a highly sensitive personal issue to launch a coordinated coup.
And when that coup failed, they resorted to the "General Strike." Julia had a legitimate grievance, but the WPR weaponized it beyond anything reasonable.
The WPR has continuously tried to enact disastrous economic policies and extreme taxing measures. Now, they tried to shut down the server itself. They are a party of destruction that opposes the very concept of Democracycraft.
2. Holding the Server Hostage
A General Strike does not hurt the server owners. It hurts the players.
By telling players not to log in, not to do their jobs, and to intentionally break the election ballots, the WPR is attempting to destroy the server we all log on to enjoy.
The WPR claims to represent the "working class," yet they are literally telling new players who just joined the server to stop playing the game. They are willing to kill the server’s economy, freeze its businesses, and ruin the gameplay experience of hundreds of our citizens just to win a political grudge and manipulate the upcoming Presidential election.
It is a desperate power-grab.
3. Why the WPR is killing the game
The WPR is a cancer on this server. They preach equality, but equality is antithetical to Democracycraft's entire gameplay purpose.
In the real world, an egalitarian communist society is obviously the ideal, preventing poverty and suffering. But in Minecraft, survival isn't actually a problem. The entire purpose of Democracycraft being a economy based server is for there to be a grind and objectives to strive for. We want there to be a reason to accumulate capital and get rich and and have wealth inequality. That's the whole aspect that makes the game fun. If everyone is equal and has the same access to resources while the government taxes everyone's savings to under $50k, there's no point in playing.
Because there are no actual "means of production" on this server to seize, easy high paying jobs that anyone can do, and a deflated economy which allows everyone to easily access every resource in the game, the WPR has run out of coherent reasons for their existence. The WPR has resorted to being against the rich for simplying existing, even though most rich players just saved up a lot of money by playing for a while. The "Deposit Tax Act" is intended to destroy the banking industry and remove a business that many players like to run. The "Moderate Taxes To The Rescue Act" will deplete the savings account of any player with more than $50k, while also having the potential to backfire massively by driving money into hyper-inflated real estate and rare items like elytra, preventing new players from accessing these limited resources.
The WPR is killing the game. The Restoration Party exists to save it. We want to create a fun server for players that gives people a reason to keep coming back to the server.

Almost 250 years ago, Thomas Jefferson wrote "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another... a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation." While it is certain that DemocracyCraft is not the United States Government, the similarity of the systems can not be denied, along with that technical similarity, it can not be denied that the ideals of democracy across the world, hold true within the server. An argument proposed against the general strikes currently affecting the server is that it damages the server, and makes it un-enjoyable for others. (Which is the entire point but...) I would argue that it does the exact opposite. While life for the colonists was certainly not the best, being the 1700s after all, it wasn't the worse, there were far more people suffering far worse (SLAVES), they still sought to exercise their right to self governance. In this pursuit, they made their lives worse, war for years, families separated, imprisoned, executed, trade cut off, cities occupied. Yet, the majority of people on the colonies did not say "guys, this is unfun, can we just stop this now?", they continued to fight on until the British were defeated. Eventually forming a "More Perfect Union", which, many people (white, land-owning males), would describe as a better situation than before. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, the long-lasting problems of this server must be fixed, even if it takes a little pain.
