Desk of GnomeMy first pile of overnight correspondence
Or, "How my vote for Speaker of the House was courted while I dozed"

I will admit I was not expecting to be elected, but that is not to say I was not prepared to be elected. I have run for office in each election for which I believe I was active enough and had a clear enough schedule to remain active enough to serve the full term to the best of my ability.
Having not campaigned and having presented no platform running as an independent, the people of Redmont have voted to be represented by GnomeWhisperer. I will offer my Gnome wisdom where I can.
The flurry of letters I arrived to on my desk this morning presented an opportunity for me to share a core belief this Gnome has about democratic systems. The belief that a democracy and the individuals chosen to represent the interests of the people within that democracy functions best when the actions and interactions of those representatives is most transparent, predictable and responsible.
I will share these letters with you below, in no structured order, as the other parties were not consistent with the timeframes for subsequent communications. Thank you and Gnob bless the citizens of Redmont.
