The Redmont DetectiveIs this Bar DC's New Hotspot? Transbar Success Battles Hate
Owner Mikhaiiiil talks about the unexpected success and planned future for Transbar

The Grand Opening of Transbar
The unexpected rush of patrons surprised owner Mikhaiiiil after one single advert drove 7 players to c177 to experience the newest DC safe space and social hangout. Tables overflowed and customers sat on decorational wall trims as the brand new business profited over $400 in a single hour, despite the menu prices topping out at a low $15.

After several rounds of drinks were handed out and the attending parties settled down, there was a heartwarming atmosphere of sanctuary. Several players revealed they themselves were members of the trans community and shared testimonies about their experiences and struggles, as well as exchanged advice for those questioning.

As the crowds trickled out, I was able to get Mikhaiiil to sit down with me for a 1 on 1 interview on their motivations on opening the vastly successful bar, and their plans for the future.
"Everyone was so kind and supportive," Mikhaiiiil said,
"I had never felt like that before"
Acts of Hate in DC
Mikhaiiil mentioned that while profit motivated them to open the bar, the main reason they pursued this project was to create a safe place for trans people and allies to hangout and talk.
Prior to joining the server, they expressed anxiety about the current protests happening all over the world with violent consequences for the queer community.
Hate in the server has been on the rise, and with the current political and server conflicts, its hard to see it getting the priority it deserves from staff. Many on the server have testimony of witnessing these acts.
Typical acts of hate in DC typically exist in chat only, but target a wide range of minorities through slurring and hate-speech directed to the entirety of a minority group. However, sometimes hateful individuals will repeatedly hunt members of the queer community, regardless of law.
Mikhaiiiil describes a particular player with the username Richi35 that was intentionally hunting new, visibly queer players. I was surprised to hear that this encounter had taken place nearly 2 hours prior to me joining the server, as I had seen the same player spamming slurs in the chat before I even met Mikhaiiiil, and attained screenshots as a part of evidence collection for a separate story.
I was pleased to hear however, that the cause of Richi35's slur parade was that he had successfully been overpowered by Mikhaiiil with the help of a future Transbar patron.

The Future of Transbar
After the several hours of bustling customers, when asked about plans for Transbar's future, Mikhaiiil expressed overwhelm at their establishments success.
"for now, my plans are to make more tables,"
When asked about when interested players could find the bar open, Mikhaiiil mentioned that they are situated in the PHST time zone, and talked about a desire to hire employees to host the place while Mik was offline.
By the time I left with my story, the place had grown to house more tables and had a full time employee dedicated to the company's growth.
If you want to attend the bar and meet some friends, head to c177.
