Juniperfig Presidential Endorsement

I will be mixing staff and politics in this article. If you are server staff here to moderate, please read my previous blog post. I am working off of my proposed rules on when it is acceptable to mix staff and politics: when staff are using staff resources to benefit themselves politically.

I endorse Anyone But End to be the next President. In protest of End's actions, I think everyone who has the playtime should declare and make the candidate list impossibly long so the ballot is a nightmare to sort through in protest of End never having been deported, not for anything he has done to all of us and all of you. I do not support the exploitation of new players (See spawn campaigning and the RRP Discord. Who are these people?), the abuse of staff permissions (see below), or the unpunished cruelty (see Politico, #politics, trying to report End through the "proper channels") that from ANY other person would have led to a permanent deport years ago.

He has declared that towns are stealing from "our most vulnerable citizens". Towns pretty much only receive funding through eviction auctions and building new properties. I never had a town ask the Department of State for a grant the entire time I was there. It is their only consistent source of income. End clearly still wants to do this as neither he nor his Vice Presidential Nominee nor anyone attached to his party have answered my very reasonable questions. I asked "What will your initial funding offer be?" (1), and he replied "More than what the steal from players" (2). I asked, in response, "How much are you alleging they steal from players?" (3), to which he answered "More than 0 people, which is too much. We’ll work with towns to determine funding needs" (4). This is complete and utter bullshit. He is lying to these new players' faces. ANY of his party members should be able to answer this question. Not even his Vice Presidential Nominee could. We both know the work that goes into being the President, and you need to have these things figured out beforehand if you want to get them done.

End already abuses his owner position during campaign season. He posted an announcement as owner calling out toxicity towards new players (5) on the same day declarations opened (6). Whether his intention was to get some extra brownie points with the new players or not, this is completely unacceptable timing. All administrators+ can send announcements in that channel. Get Eenza or Hamdog to do it. This is part of a larger pattern of behaviour, and it is toxic to the server and to his staff team. They do not agree with his actions but they believe it is futile to give up. You should all strike in protest. Thunder, you know this, you see it. It's not too late to get out of there. He can't keep you hostage.

I don't care if Multi, Talion, Dino, or Roy win. I wouldn't care if my worst enemy won. Every single citizen in Redmont is miles and miles more deserving and able to lead the server than End, and I have full faith in each of them to fill the Presidential shoes. His behaviour cannot be rewarded.

I endorse every single one of you. Find a Vice President, declare as soon as you can, and drown out the campaigns until the server is nearly unplayable. Don’t campaign at all. Or do, whatever you want. Don’t have the hours? Declare anyways. Make this election a mess. If the DOS goes on strike the server shuts down. Message me if you have President hours and want to run with me.
