Hies's PenmanshipThe Reason behind this Lavacast
why does a man inherently want to destroy progress

The pattern in the History
I should have seen it coming, it was already happening. Logging on a week eariler I find the town blown up by TNT and fire set to anything flammable (thank god fire spread is off). And now today between 12 to 8pm ish, someone decided to ruin what's left of the town. It seems to be that where ever the C.F.M.R (Central Flats Merchant Republic) goes, it gets dusted and griefed. Example, Old Anderella under the first CFMR was attacked, griefed, and leveled. First two by a coalition between the 1008er Mafia and the GER (Galatic Empire of Redmont). And then leveled as after the CFMR was dissolved, ko531 griefed it AGAIN and the reason for that incident in the wiki was quote.
"it didn't look good in front of his house"
Continuation of a trend
Now those are two examples, both under the same banner and area, the CFMR. Yet as easily you can dismiss those twos as "Inconclusive Data towards a trend". So it is with my honor to include the two other main cities of the CFMR, Havenvalley and San Mateo. After the griefing of Anderella there was a lull as the APU (Anderella Players Union) form as a resistance to the GER and then disbanded. But in Mid-2024 the CFMR would reform as the founder of the CFMR would find himself leading a town after the original founder quit the server after charges of "violent crimes". Now the town, (Havenvalley) would again, rise to success being one of the most successful in that era. But that changed on July 15th, 2024. In response to attacks in Greenmont (Another town nearby) a summit would be held in the Technofied Amphitheatre with notable members of the area including 2 GER soldiers. Learning from last time you can probably tell what happened. As when coming upstage to speak the soldiers said that Havenvalley is under GER control and what ensues was a war and the surrendering of Havenvalley and it becoming a puppet of the GER.
San Mateo
Much of the same thing happened, this being even more west than Havenvalley. After the Dissolution of Havenvalley, San Mateo attracted attention and began to grow. This would change as a conflict between the President and the Secretary of the Department of State... which was a GER Member. And so in a nutshell, the president finds out a scheme to pollute the next election with GER members. A search of the DoS office would commence which would end in the president shooting the DoS Secretary. The Grand Judge of San Mateo saying quote
"Y'all need a Constitution Convention" (you can't make this shit up)
before promptly resigning in the courtroom.
Then right on cue GER and the 1008er Mafia attacked the city as people were leaving causing a 72 hour war in which the city of San Mateo was dissolved.
Note before the Psychology
Now before we get into this, I am no licensed psychologist with no degrees. These are my beliefs and educated guesses and the human brain (which is tricky). You are free to disagree on anything in this article (Gladly please actually I would love another perspective). So that is all before we get into the-
Psychology on why people hate progress
Heres a fun fact, our brains have about 2.5 Petabytes of Memory able to store which is about HALF of the amount of memory in "El Capitian" supercomputer in the Lawernce Livermore Laboratory. And yet our brains lag behind when it comes to the emotions used in the day-to-day age. As globalization causes emotions like anger or destruction to be less needed for someone to survival, they need a way to use those emotions as evolutions struggles to keep up. And so they grief the builds, either as a god complex, because why not, or what I think is most likely, Dopamine. It seems important in this day and age, and it's fun for a group of people to destroy the progress of others and hinder them because it gives a reaction and dopamine (sidenote I'm now realizing that the process is similar to bullying cases). It is as most of us seem to respond to hate much quicker and that response is usually sharper, fueling more dopamine for the people responsible for the act.
Conclusion
Anger is the emotion that is the fastest to spread and the one to give the strongest response. And so it seems that the people acting out this act is either in that state or trying to evoke that state (which it worked on me). It is this age where news is polarizing to the point of violence for one's personal beliefs. So I'll leave you with a question. What was earned by doing this and what was the goal of doing this?
