The Redmont Trans+ NetworkA Thesis on DemocracyCraft

"To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish…"
I
When one thinks of DemocracyCraft, they think of a false, although earnest, roleplay democracy. The players have complete agency to mold the server to their will, only if they do not dispute the roles of staff, who act as a superior agent. In some ways, the staff is considered what the United Nations or NATO are to their member states, superior organizations meant to organize the countries beneath them.
This would be fine, even encouraged, if staff acted as a council of decision with no clear leader. However, due to the nuances of server running (the necessity of having to pay to keep one alive), clear leaders emerge: xEndeavour and Tech.
II
With clear leaders with incredible power over the server, staff are transformed into the enactors of their will and dissenting voices are silenced.
III
If a clear leader decides to enact extremely discriminatory or vengeful policy, staff have no choice other than to obey. If they do not obey, they’re removed and replaced by loyalists.
IV
xEndeavour, unable to control his impulses, power trips. This has happened since the beginning of DemocracyCraft as xEndeavour refused to give up power for months.
V
With xEndeavour power tripping, staff have to enact his will; the player base is the most affected. The targets of xEndeavour’s power trip are variable, but he will always attempt to use staff to destroy them.
VI
The player base, after seeing this power trip, attempts to protest, only to be met by deportations. The players have no real agency in this democracy.
VII
With old players departing from DemocracyCraft, xEndeavour becomes reliant on Jaron-wavers to keep it alive. The server loses all previous sense of community that they had.
VIII
All societies come to an end eventually; nothing last forever. xEndeavour has, however, accelerated this end by refusing to give up even a morsel of power.
IX
DemocracyCraft walks towards its death as xEndeavour refuses to do anything to calm down the populace. He uses the Jaron-wavers, who wish to play on a non-striking server, to create backlash against the strikes.
X
Even then, players, who don't understand the conundrum staff have found themselves in, keep targeting them instead of the leader. Good tsar, bad boyars.
XI
The players have only kept this system alive; the point is to change it
