To'hajiilee News - RedmontEveryman 2: Are Miners Being Paid Enough?
An interview with a local miner reveals the concerns over salaries in the profession.

Mining is a common beginner trade in Redmont, but it is a very underpaid profession.
Player TropicIsland708, when interviewed on the subject, explains that, while the wages of mining (currently 40 cents per ore) are enough to live off, it can be difficult at first to get money (they can afford to live in an apartment for $300 per 30 days). For miners with low money, they consistently have to buy new tools due to them breaking quickly, which further lowers profitability in the profession.
TropicIsland708 explains that, while mending can be placed on a pickaxe, it can be hard to find enough xp while mining. He discussed that that the government does not pay enough money per ore, and that 40 cents per ore is not sufficient, especially for beginners.
Lastly, TropicIsland708 mentions that while walking and mining, they “sometimes get shot randomly,” highlighting the unprovoked dangers of this profession. They call for the government to raise wages for miners in order to create a more livable environment for workers in mining.
