The Daily BuffWhy The Illicit Advertising Act is WACK
An opinion piece on a DUMB bill
What is the "Stop Illicit Business Advertising Act?"
The "Stop Illicit Business Advertising Act" or SIBAA as I will call it, is one of, if not the worst bill to ever have been proposed in Congress. (At least since mar_milk left.) The bill was apparently made to stop a "loophole" where a player could "promot[e] a illicit substance dispensary under a corporate alias, rather than the specific contraband." Now I ask you, why do you think this bill was really made? Perhaps the bill is targeting a singular company. A company which we all know the name of, one which has "maintain[ed] highly effective, public marketing pipelines" throughout Discord and Redmont. If you couldn't tell by now, I'm talking about HeisenbergCo.
What is HeisenbergCo?
HeisenbergCo is The largest buff dealer in Redmont and has been a supplier for: Rai parties, bio-terrorists, Mironian events, and the common people of DemocracyCraft. You've probably seen their logo if you've ever read the newspaper, stopped by their shop, or ever went in the Black Market. They are masters of advertising with that ability, and their hardwork of course, transformed the dreams of a real estate agent and farmer in the wild into a household name.
How is the SIBAA a bad thing?
The SIBAA bill, if signed into law by the President, will force me to find a new way to advertise my illicit buff shop. (That's a joke by the way). I really don't want to do that, but I already have some more loopholes planned, HeisenbergCo is not going anywhere.
DISCLAIMER: I have recieved no money from HeisenbergCo for this article.
