Wax Wing NewsBREAKING NEWS: PRESIDENT OF SENATE REMOVED FROM HIS SEAT
Accusations over leadership, transparency, and conduct have culminated in one of the Senate's more consequential political challenges in recent memory.

At 1:16 PM, yesterday, Musclebound created a thread with the following message:
MOTION OF NO CONFIDENCE
Senator TrueDarklander has moved as follows:
I, Senator True Darklander, move to hold President of the Senate @Musclebound in No Confidence, on the basis of his public and private misconduct, lack of transparency in the elaboration of new Standing Orders, intransigence, and overall disregard for the power and role of the position he's in. Inability to take both public and private criticism in his role as a public official and as a Presiding Officer. I asked Sofia (mayor of Oakridge) for her thoughts on the subject, and she said: "Seems about right for congress"
A motion of no confidence is when a group of people is when a group of people formally say, "We don't trust you anymore to hold this position." Musclebound, elected only a couple of days ago for senate, and then for PoS, from the same people now holding him against this motion. What is surprising is that almost 100% of the current Senate almost instantly voted "Aye", expressing their distaste in the current PoS. The senators voted as follows,
Incarnation__: Nay (invalid)
TrueDarklander: Aye
Johnes: Aye
LL4444444444444: Aye
Unalign: Aye,
almost unanimously getting an 80% vote, essentially kicking Muscle out of his current seat.
The Timeline (Pacific Standard Time)
1:16 PM – President of the Senate Musclebound forwards a Motion of No Confidence submitted by Senator TrueDarklander.
1:18 PM – Senator Incarnation__ votes Nay. Senator Johnes requests a public statement from Musclebound.
1:24 PM – Musclebound issues a statement defending his leadership, asking for more time in office, and ending with the remark, "And Darklander Bite Me." accompanied by a GIF of an rubber duck smoking? (did not make much sense to me ngl).
1:26 PM – TrueDarklander criticizes the response, saying it reinforced the concerns outlined in the motion.
1:45 PM – Senator Johnes votes Aye, citing conduct unbecoming of a Presiding Officer.
1:52 PM – Musclebound rules Incarnation's earlier Nay vote invalid, stating it was cast before his official statement.
5:29 PM – Senator Unalign votes Aye after heavy consideration, citing concerns over professionalism and leadership.
The reasons Muscle was removed from his position (from comments fellow senators made were as follows):
- He was not professional enough/he was immature
- He showed little interest in understanding his responsibility
- Tried to force his own vote through quicker without other senator approval (and then admitted it was ragebait towards an opposing political party later in the future.)
What's next?
After the votes were cast, the following things will happen. #1, Johnes, another senator, will take over his position as PoS. #2: Muscle will still be in the Senate, but he will not be the PoS anymore.
I managed to secure an interview with Unalign, the person who stayed undecided for the longest.
Here's how it went.
Q: You appeared undecided before voting in favor. What ultimately convinced you?
A: I was told by Musclebound he would redeem himself if he was given an opportunity, but decided not to, mainly on trying to ragebait his opponent.
Q: Was there one specific event that changed your mind?
A: Musclebound saying that he did it for ragebait and not as a mistake.
Q: Do you believe this motion was avoidable?
A: Yes, musclebound should've just tried to cooperate with people he doesn't like, but also Darklander should've offered some help to him the moment he got elected.
Q: Is this about policy disagreements or confidence in leadership?
A: Confidence in leadership, I agree with his policies such as the top hat rule.
Q: What should the next President of the Senate do differently?
A: Well, try to work with everyone no matter their party.
Q: What precedent does removing a sitting President set?
A: It shows that the president of the senate is a role which can be removed if misused.
Q: Is this the biggest leadership crisis this Senate has faced?
A: Yes, to the best of my knowledge, this is the biggest leadership crisis imo but we got over it pretty fast
I also asked Just_Jada, Musclebound and Johnes for their comments. Jada said "Muscle flew too close to the sun, he is now DPOS as I think he needs to learn to be POS and learn better." Johnes responded with "I'm happy the Senate elected me to serve as its President. Its unfortunate Musclebound was removed but it was necessary in my opinion. The election for DPoS resulted in him being elected, which I hope will help him teach the necessary things to help him be POS." Muscle commented with "I feel like the green goblin mask has been destroyed and I feel normal again," and "Johnes, will do a good job and Im excited to be able to learn from him"
Whether the motion succeeds or fails, the political damage has already reshaped the conversation surrounding the office of the President of the Senate. Questions surrounding responsibility, leadership, and accountability are now likely to remain at the forefront of Senate politics long after the final vote was cast.
