Daily was one hell of a promise. Or, why budgetmich isn't a content creator
Obviously, daily was quite the commitment. And I have … not succeeded in it. For that, you have my apologies and my commitment to do better (with the acknowledgment this isn't my day job on the server, so I appreciate your patience and help. To try to help with that, I'm going to focus on rulings and particularly interesting motions.
There actually weren't any of those yesterday, so instead here's an incomplete summation of some cases that saw major updates last week, just to remind you what it is we do here at CourtListener. Thanks as always for reading!

Now onto the cases.
Federal Court
-Triplefish v. SirGamer1, Dkt pending
Wut? DCR-level slop
Counsel: -Triplefish, plaintiff, pro se
**Commonwealth of Redmont v. Luke201556, 2026 FCR 15
As a preliminary style note, we at CourtListener like ICRAC/CREAC/CRAC. We don't love explicitly identifying its use. Separately, we believe all litigants should be referenced by their preferred pronouns (the author is generally a fan of avoiding non-party pronouns altogether given the unclarity that can surround preferred pronouns).
The defense filed its closing statements on Tuesday, distilling the case down to 2 issues: the validity of a mortgage contract between defendant and co-plaintiff Pepecuu and the validity of co-defendant MJL's claim to plot C006.
Vernicia v. Commonwealth of Redmont, 2026 FC 53.
The saga of the $4 million fine ended with a whimper rather than a bang. After the Commonwealth charged her with thousands of counts of selling unlawful firearms, Vernicia sued, alleging Violation of the Principles of Natural Justice and Absurd and Unjust Charges. The settlement was a touch more reasonable, with the Commonwealth striking all but 129 counts of unlawful firearms sales. Vernicia's gun shops are also vaulted until she obtains a firearms license. Helix Law Group got $6,000 out of the deal.
Counsel: Dartanboy for plaintiff Vernicia; SG ameslap for defendant Commonwealth of Redmont

This is not just about Julia's deadname. End's staff abuse goes far beyond one incident. Don't let them control the narrative.
