Multiman won the Presidency. Why?
A breakdown into the tactics used for Multiman to win
In case you missed it, Multiman155/Just_Jada officially won the June 2026 Presidential Election and will be elected the President/Vice President of the Common Wealth of Redmont. This decision came in the first round of voting, with Multiman having 298 votes (62.21%).
So, what tactics and strategies did Multiman use to win this campaign? Before I interviewed him, I wanted to look at the number of messages each candidate sent in MC global chat.

As you can see here, Roy405 had the most global messages sent, with 2186 messages from June 1 to the June 11. Multiman only had 235 messages. Obviously, with Multi coming in first place and Roy only coming in third, there had to be more to this campaign.
What inspired me to write this article was actually juniperfig's analysis on campaign advertisements. Using her data (shown below), you could see that multi had an astounding lead in #campaign messages.

Is this what one him the election? Possibly. Furthermore, although we have no /ad data, anyone who has played the server lately can testify to the sheer amount of /ad messages helping Multiman's campaign. This would give him insane name recognition to any new player over Roy, as Roy only played sometimes while the Multi ads were going pretty much 24/7.
I then decided to look at policies, there were two pretty contrasting policies between Multiman and Roy. Oversimplified, Multiman argued for a stricter police system, setting up police at hotspots, than Roy's ideals of a more advanced crime systems. According to my research, the Roy campaign supported lockpicking of chests and shops, which I could assume most shopowners would not like. But he also massively appealed to new players, with many new players supporting crime, why was Roy only third?
I asked President-elect Multiman155 on his opinion:
"I think people believed in our vision and we communicated well. We addressed issues normal players face - murder, plot crisis, and jobs - and proposed good solutions."
I'd also like to point out that in Multiman's campaign discord, only 90 people of the 298 voters said they voted. I'll estimate about 150 new-players that were not in his discord or the DC discord voted for Multiman, and the rest can be chalked up to older players or people who didn't react.
As you can see with that evidence, Multiman made a massive push for new players in this election. Although many new players do support crime, a lot of the newer players actually enjoy this server and want to improve it, and the name-recognition launched Multiman to a victory.
In the end, I believe Multiman won mainly due to massive /ad campaigns giving him the name recognition to new voters. Multiman's policies definitely helped push further support, but I believe the /ad campaigns is the main reason.
